Mid Season Review – CYFC U10’s

The under 10s started the SSG at MUSA in September but very quicky realized that they were to strong for it and they need a new challenge so they entered the south Belfast league although this would lead to a lot of travelling all the parents were very happy to do this

So far this young under 10 team have gone unbeaten winning all 6 games to sit at the top of league at the Christmas break, with 3 more games to go in January to complete hopefully they see it out remaining unbeaten

They entered in U11s Irish cup at 9-a-side and won the first round beating Banbridge Town 3-1 then came up against Portadown FC in the 2nd round drawing the game 0-0 but unfortunately losing out in the penalty shootout but was a brilliant experience for the lads playing 9-a-side a year younger than their opponents. There was 1 cup the U10s entered at Halloween in Omagh and they won the final on penalties after a very close game after some great football played in the tournament

U10s will probably get moved into section 2 in Belfast in February and that will be a good test for this young team but and also have the Blackpool cup to look forward to in May. Credit to all the players in the team for giving their all and all the travelling the parents have done.
