Jackie Burns A Trail To The USA

Jackie Burns A Trail To The USA

Cookstown Youth FC former player Jackie Burns has embarked on the chance of a lifetime and a new chapter in her sporting career as she starts her Soccer Scholarship in Tennessee USA.

Jackie has excelled in Hockey , Netball , Athletics and of course football , and is one of very few who can boast having represented her Country at all these mentioned sports , and it was at Cookstown Youth FC that she cut her teeth in the run-up to then starring for Mid Ulster Ladies at the top level in Ladies soccer in Northern Ireland and also for the NI Ladies International teams at various age-groups.

So it was with great pride that representatives from CYFC attended Jackies “Leaving do” recently in Cookstown Hockey Club and we along with the Hockey Club , Mid Ulster Ladies FC and the Net-balling and Athletics fraternity’s will be watching very closely the career of this very special athlete .

Safe journey Jackie and all the very best in your new venture , and always remember to BELIEVE !!!!
